SuccessFactors Recruiting Optimization

What This Engagement Is

Recruiting Optimization is a time-boxed, fixed-scope engagement focused on improving how SAP SuccessFactors

Recruiting supports real hiring work.

The goal is to reduce friction for recruiters and hiring managers, improve adoption, and make hiring easier and more predictable without reimplementation and without introducing unnecessary complexity.

This work assumes the client is already live on SuccessFactors Recruiting.

Primary Outcomes

By the end of the engagement, clients should expect:

  • Recruiter workflows that are simpler and faster to execute
  • Clearer hiring manager participation and fewer stalled steps
  • Reduced reliance on spreadsheets, side tools, and manual tracking
  • Better alignment between how hiring actually happens and how the system is configured
  • A recruiting setup that teams can operate with more confidence and less support

This is about making the existing system work better, not redesigning everything.

What Is In Scope

The engagement focuses on how Recruiting is used day to day. Typical areas of focus include:

Recruiter Experience

  • Review of common recruiter workflows (requisition to offer)
  • Identification of unnecessary steps, handoffs, or duplicative effort
  • Simplification of configurations that slow recruiters down
  • Reduction of manual work and offline tracking

Hiring Manager Experience

  • Review of where hiring managers engage (approvals, interviews, feedback, offers)
  • Improving visibility and clarity around next steps
  • Streamlining touchpoints so managers can act quickly and confidently
  • Reducing friction that causes delays or disengagement

Process & Configuration Alignment

  • Ensuring configuration reflects current hiring practices
  • Addressing process drift from earlier implementations or enhancements
  • Clarifying ownership and expectations across recruiting roles
  • Aligning workflows to support faster, more consistent decisions

Adoption & Usability

  • Identifying where adoption breaks down and why
  • Making targeted changes that improve day-to-day usage
  • Ensuring changes are understandable and sustainable for the team

What Is Explicitly Out of Scope

To keep the engagement controlled and predictable, the following are not included unless separately agreed:

  • Full Recruiting reimplementation
  • Large-scale redesign of unrelated modules
  • Net-new functionality unrelated to agreed priorities
  • Open-ended enhancement backlogs
  • Ongoing AMS or long-term support

This boundary is intentional and protects both outcomes and spend.

How the Engagement Is Structured

Recruiting Optimization is delivered as a fixed-scope, time-boxed sprint.

  • Scope and focus areas agreed upfront
  • Work organized into defined blocks
  • Senior, hands-on delivery (no junior handoff)
  • Clean start and clean stop
  • Changes made with adoption and sustainability in mind

This structure avoids the common trap of open-ended T&M work that drifts without delivering clear improvement.

Relationship to Other Engagements

Recruiting Optimization is part of a structured engagement approach designed to balance clarity, control, and outcomes.

Diagnostic (Healthcheck)
Recruiting Optimization begins with a focused diagnostic phase to assess the current SuccessFactors Recruiting environment, surface areas of friction, and confirm where effort will have the most impact. This diagnostic work informs and flows directly into the optimization that follows. For some organizations, the diagnostic may be completed as a short standalone engagement before moving forward.

Recruiting Optimization
The core engagement focused on improving usability, adoption, and hiring outcomes within SuccessFactors Recruiting through targeted, time-boxed work.

Implementation / Targeted Delivery
Used when specific functionality, enhancements, or changes are required beyond optimization, and scoped separately to support defined needs.

Each engagement has a clear purpose and boundary, allowing teams to engage at the right level without unnecessary scope or disruption.

How Clients Typically Engage

Clients usually come to Recruiting Optimization in one of three ways:

  • After a Diagnostic, with clear priorities identified
  • With known pain points and a desire for focused improvement
  • Following turnover, growth, or organizational change that has stressed recruiting operations

In all cases, the work is scoped to deliver meaningful improvement within a defined timeframe.

Who This Is For

This engagement is designed for organizations already live on SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting that want hiring to move faster and feel easier for recruiters and hiring managers.

It is a strong fit for teams where:

  • recruiters are spending too much time navigating the system
  • hiring managers are slow to engage or unclear on next steps
  • processes have evolved and become harder to manage
  • the system technically works, but adoption varies
  • hiring volume or organizational change has exposed friction

This work is especially effective for enterprise and public-sector organizations that need practical improvement without disruption.

Why Simply Staffed

Simply Staffed brings a practitioner’s perspective to SuccessFactors Recruiting optimization.

Before professional services, we were recruiters and HR practitioners. That background shapes how we approach system work today. We focus on how hiring actually happens and how the system can best support it, rather than treating Recruiting as a purely technical exercise.

Our work is:

  • senior-led and hands-on
  • grounded in real recruiting workflows
  • structured to protect scope, spend, and outcomes
  • focused on usability, adoption, and results

We don’t sell software or licenses, which allows us to stay fully focused on delivery outcomes and what will actually make hiring easier for your teams.
